New Orleans Mission

This mission is part of an innovative initiative to provide opportunities for our community to not only hear, but see and touch what your Federation does every day. The women saw firsthand what has happened to the New Orleans Jewish and non-Jewish community since Hurricane Katrina. In partnership with our agency Jewish Healthcare International, the group worked to refurbish homes damaged by Katrina and conducted a health fair for those in need (a groundbreaking project that has not been done by any other group since Katrina.)
